Description
The Panasonic GX-F8A-R is an ultra-compact rectangular (square) inductive proximity sensor from the GX-F series, identical in detection performance to the cabled GX-F8A, but with a M8 4-pin quick-disconnect connector (suffix -R = Connector type / -C in some regions = connector) instead of a fixed cable. It detects ferrous and non-ferrous metals via an oscillating magnetic field.
- GX-F8A-R → NPN Normally Open (NO) output, 3-wire DC, 2.5 mm nominal sensing range (flush mountable), M8 4-pin plug, built-in short-circuit & reverse polarity protection.
- Housing: 20×8×12 mm approx. rectangular PBT resin — fits where Ø8 mm cylindrical barrels cannot.
- Connector Version Advantage: Allows quick change-out without rewiring — just unplug the old sensor and plug in the new one (requires mating M8 cordset — e.g., Panasonic M8 4-pin cable).
The GX-F series features IP68g (oil-tight) & IP67 — suitable for coolant-rich machining environments.
