Description
The Siemens SITRANS QAM2120.040 / QAM2120.200 / QAM2120.600 / QAM2110.040 / QAM2112.040 are passive immersion / duct temperature sensors designed for HVAC and building automation (HVAC BMS) applications. They consist of a Pt100 or Pt1000 RTD element mounted in a stainless steel or brass immersion well, with a probe length of 0.04 m (40 mm), 0.20 m (200 mm), or 0.60 m (600 mm) inserted into the air duct or pipe (via welded socket / compression fitting).

💡 Pt100 vs Pt1000:
Pt100 = Standard DIN IEC 60751— most universal; 3-wire recommended for best accuracy over long cable runs (compensates lead resistance). Pt1000 = 10× resistance of Pt100 at 0 °C (1000 Ω vs 100 Ω) — less sensitive to lead resistance; good for longer cable runs WITHOUT 3-wire; preferred in many modern BMS (Siemens Desigo PXC). Check your controller’s analog input type before ordering!
