    • Single-acting (Spring-Return actuator)​ → needs positioner with one output port + exhaust/bleed​ (air fills to open/close, spring returns on air loss). Use 5011-type (6DR5011-□).
    • Double-acting (No spring or double piston)​ → needs two output ports (A→port1, B→port2)​ to push/pull. Use 5020/5320-type (6DR5020-□ / 6DR5320-□). Using single-acting positioner on double-acting actuator won’t develop force in reverse direction!
  2.
