  • CP1W-40EDT​ → 24-point Digital Input (16 × 24V DC sink/source) + Transistor Output (16 × NPN/PNP — check suffix -T = NPN sinking, -TA = PNP sourcing) — compact 40-point block.

  1. CPU Compatibility: CP1W expansions work with CP1L, CP1H, CP1E-N (N-type only). CP1E-E type (Basic / Economy) does NOT support expansion units!​ CP1H-X/H pre-wired TS slot for TS101/102 temp modules.
  2. Max Expansions: CP1L/CP1H/CP1E-N → max 3 expansion units​ (including analog/temp/digital). Total I/O points limited by CPU (CP1H = 320 max; CP1L = 180–320; CP1E-N = 160–300 depending on CPU).
  3. Expansion Cable: If not docking directly to CPU right side — use CP1W-CN226 (2.6 m) / CN118 (1.2 m) / CN050 (0.5 m)​ to separate expansions. First unit can dock directly; subsequent ones daisy-chain.
  4. Transistor Sourcing vs Sinking: CP1W-40EDT = NPN sinking (-T suffix); CP1W-40EDTA = PNP sourcing (-TA suffix). Match to your field wiring (NPN = 0V switch; PNP = +24V switch).
  5. Analog Power: CP1W-AD041 / DA041 draw from CPU bus (if CPU powers bus) OR need external 24V DC if specified — most CP1H/CP1L supply bus power for 1–2 analog modules; check manual for heavy load.
