The KEYENCE GL-S12SH is a compact, high-performance Type 4 (SIL 3, PL e) safety light curtain from the GL-S Series. This “Slim Type” model features 12 optical axes with a 20 mm resolution, providing a protection height of 220 mm for finger and hand detection. With a detection range of 0.1 m to 2.0 m and a super-slim housing cross-section of only 15 mm x 30 mm, it is designed for seamless integration into tight spaces on small machinery, robots, and automated cells. It incorporates KEYENCE’s unique One-Line wiring system, built-in muting, and external device monitoring (EDM), eliminating the need for bulky external controllers and simplifying installation.
