The CA-H200C​ is a Keyence CA-H series environment-resistant 2-megapixel color CMOS camera​ — part of Keyence’s high-speed machine vision camera family, designed to pair with CV-X series​ (Intuitive Vision, AI-assisted) or XG-X / XG-8000 series​ (fully custom rule-based vision) controllers. The “CA-H” prefix = H = “Heavy-duty / Environment-resistant”​ — the housing is IP64-rated aluminum alloy​ with industrial coating, vs the non-H “CA-200C” which is the bare/bench version (no IP rating, lighter, for clean cabinet use). The “200” = 2-megapixel​ class (1600×1200 effective); “C” = Color​ (mono version would be CA-H200M).

⚠️ Critical Buyer Notes:
  1. IP64 is conditional: Bare CA-H200C body is IP64-rated mechanically, but the lens mount C-threads break the seal​ — unless you use a Keyence IP64-specified C-mount lens​ (e.g., Keyence CA-LHE series lenses: CA-LHE16, CA-LHE25, CA-LHE35, CA-LHE50 — these have O-ring at mount) + Keyence environment-resistant camera cable (CA-CHxx with IP64 strain relief). Generic C-mount lens = IP40. This is the #1 mistake buyers make — “IP64 camera” arrives, they screw on a generic Computar/Fujinon C-mount, and wonder why it fogs in washdown. If you need true IP64 → budget for Keyence CA-LHE lens + CA-CHxx-ER cable.
  2. CA-H200C vs CA-HX200C: CA-H200C is the “classic” 2MP color; CA-HX200C is the successor with LumiTrax™​ (strobe-sync for shiny part inspection — separates image from ambient in one frame). HX also has 5µm cells (vs 4.5), 1.92MP, and weighs 280g (vs 75g — HX body is larger). If your existing system is CA-H200C and a head died → replace with CA-H200C (NOS). If new specification → ask for CA-HX200C quote (but controller must support HX — CV-X200/X400 do; CV-X100 may need EC80 unit).
  3. Controller Compatibility: CA-H200C works on CV-X100/200/400​ and XG-X / XG-8000. Does NOT work on old CV-3000/5000 head units (those used CV-2000/CV-3000 proprietary heads, different connector). Does NOT work standalone — MUST have Keyence CV-X or XG controller.
