Description

The Mitsubishi QJ61BT11N is a CC-Link Master / Local Station (Remote Device) interface module for the MELSEC-Q Series PLC rack. It enables the Q CPU to act as:
  • CC-Link Master (Head Station): Control up to 64 CC-Link Remote I/O, Remote Device (Inverter/Servo with CC-Link), and Local Station nodes on a single CC-Link network (Ver. 1.10 compatible — up to 64 stations total, max 2048 points I/O depending on occupied stations).
  • CC-Link Local Station (Slave): If configured as a slave, another CC-Link Master (QJ61BT11N in Master mode or other vendor Master) can read/write its assigned area — used for inter-PLC data exchange over CC-Link.
The module connects via RS-485-based CC-Link dedicated cable (twisted pair + shield — DA/DB + DG (shield drain)) with baud rates from 156 kbps up to 10 Mbps (distance decreases with higher baud — 10 Mbps ≈ 100 m max; 156 kbps ≈ 1.2 km max — check CC-Link spec).
It is configured in GX Works2 → Parameter → Network Parameter → CC-Link (double-click the QJ61BT11N I/O slot row) — set Master/Local, Station No., Baud Rate, Occupied Stations (for Remote I/O: 1 station = 32 inputs + 32 outputs; Remote Device can occupy 1–4 stations), and Remote I/O assignment auto-maps to X/Y areas in the Q CPU.

Key Features

  • Network Type: CC-Link IE Field? ❌ No — this is CC-Link (dedicated RS-485-based — Ver.1.10 backward compat. with older CC-Link V1.00 nodes) — NOT CC-Link IE (Ethernet-based — that’s QJ71GF□-□ for IE Field / IE Control).
  • Mode: Master (controls network) OR Local Station (slave — data exchange only)
  • Max. Stations: 64 total (Master mode — up to 64 remote nodes)
  • Baud Rate: 156 k / 625 k / 1.25 M / 2.5 M / 5 M / 10 M bps (selectable)
  • Cabling: Dedicated CC-Link cable (twisted pair + shield — DA/DB/DG) or general 110Ω–130Ω shielded twisted pair (recommended: Mitsubishi A6CON-□ or generic 120Ω STP)
  • Diagnostics: RUN/ERR LEDs, Network Status monitor via special relays (SM) & buffers (BFM)
  • Country of Origin: Japan (Mitsubishi Electric)

Best For
QJ61BT11N (listed)
CC-Link (RS-485 based V1.10)
Master / Local Station (Remote Device)
Connecting Q PLC to CC-Link Remote I/O, Inverters (FR-A700 with FR-A7NC), Servo (MR-J3/MR-J4 with CC-Link I/F), Other Q/L PLC as Local Station
QJ71GF-SB □ / QJ71GP21-SX
CC-Link IE Field / IE Control (Ethernet-based Gigabit)
Master / Local (IE Field) or Control Station (IE Control)
High-speed gigabit field networks — NOT interchangeable with QJ61BT11N!
QJ71C24N
Serial (RS-232/422)
Not network — serial comms only — do NOT confuse with BT11N!
AJ61QBT11 (A Series)
CC-Link (older A-Q hybrid)
Master/Local
Legacy A-Series rack — Q-series prefers QJ61BT11N
⚠️ Critical Fit & Wiring Notes:
  1. CC-Link Cable & Termination: Use shielded twisted pair (120Ω characteristic impedance — Mitsubishi A6CON-□ or Belden 9463/9842 type). Terminate both ends of the CC-Link cable with 130Ω resistor (Mitsubishi A6CON-R□ or generic 120Ω 1/4W) — one at Master end (sometimes built into master — QJ61BT11N does NOT have internal term — add externally across DA/DB at farthest node AND optionally at master if it’s the only node? Actually: Terminate ONLY the two END nodes of the daisy chain — if Master is at one end → terminate Master DA/DB with 130Ω; terminate last Remote I/O / last node DA/DB with 130Ω. Never terminate intermediate nodes.)
  2. Station Number (Own Station No.): When used as Master → set own station No. = 0 (or 1 depending on param — Master is usually Station 0 in GX Works2 CC-Link param). When used as Local Station (Slave) → set unique Station No. (1–64) not used by other nodes.
  3. Occupied Stations (Remote Device): For Remote I/O — 1 station = 32 input points (RX) + 32 output points (RY) mapped to Q CPU X/Y area. For Remote Device (e.g., inverter with CC-Link) — can occupy 1–4 stations (= 16–64 words RX/RY/RWr/RWw). Plan I/O allocation in GX Works2 CC-Link parameter → “Remote I/O Assignment” tab.
  4. CC-Link Ver. Compatibility: QJ61BT11N supports CC-Link Ver 1.10 — fully backward compatible with Ver 1.00 remote nodes (older AJ65BT-□, FR-A7NC old FW, etc.).
  5. Not CC-Link IE: This module does NOT do CC-Link IE Field (Ethernet-based). For CC-Link IE → need QJ71GF□□-SB / QJ71GP21-SX (totally different beast — different cable, different config).

Why Choose Our Store

  • Genuine Mitsubishi MELSEC-Q CC-Link modules — not clones with timing skew causing link errors
  • Global supply network with competitive pricing
  • Expertise in CC-Link network design (master/slave config, I/O mapping, termination, troubleshooting ERR LED)
  • Comprehensive technical documentation (5-pin terminal pinout, GX Works2 CC-Link param screenshot, terminator placement diagram)
  • Responsive customer service and support

Applications

  • Remote I/O Expansion: Connect Q CPU to distributed AJ65BTB□-□ / AJ65SBTB□-□ Remote I/O blocks on machine — saves long multi-core cables.
  • Inverter / Servo Control: Control Mitsubishi FR-A700 (with FR-A7NC CC-Link option) or MR-J3/J4 servo (with MR-J3□-□-A□ / MR-J4-D□ CC-Link I/F) — start/stop, speed reference, alarm read via CC-Link RWr/RWw.
  • Multi-PLC Link: Two Q PLCs exchange data via CC-Link (one Master, one Local Station QJ61BT11N) — simpler than MELSECNET/H for small data sets.
  • Third-Party CC-Link Nodes: Many Asian/international devices support CC-Link (some weigh scales, vision systems, robots) — integrate as Remote Device.
  • Retrofit / Spare: Drop-in replacement for failed QJ61BT11N — same article number → download network params → restart.
