Description
The Schneider Electric TeSys LRD series are bimetal thermal overload relays designed to mount directly onto TeSys D (LC1D) contactors (and some LC1F with adapters) for motor circuit protection against overload, phase loss, and prolonged overcurrent. Listed models — LRD365C (65–80A range), LRD340C (40–50A), LRD350C (50–65A), LRD3357C (57–65A), LRD3359C (59–70A), LRD3361C (61–80A), LRD3363C (63–80A variant), and LRD4365 / LRD4367 (Class 10A, higher frame for LC1D80…D170 contactors) — provide a manual/auto reset, trip indication flag, and NO+NC auxiliary contacts for alarm/PLC signaling.
Key Features
- Mounting: Snap-on direct to TeSys D contactor (front/side per frame) — no wiring between contactor & OLR.
- Trip Class: Class 10A (trips in 10×In within 2–10 sec) standard; some LRD436x = Class 20/30 optionally.
- Setting Range: Dial-adjustable current setting (e.g., LRD365C = 65–80A).
- Auxiliary Contacts: 1 NO + 1 NC (early break / late make) for STOP circuit & alarm.
- Manual Test / Reset: Test button simulates trip; Reset = Manual or Auto (selectable).
- Certifications: IEC 60947-4-1, UL 508, CSA, CE, RoHS.
- Country of Origin: France / Morocco / China (Schneider global)
Model & Setting Range Table
Model | Fits Contactor Frame | Adjustable Range (A) | Typical Motor (400V AC-3) |
|---|---|---|---|
LRD340C | LC1D40…D65 | 40 – 50 A | ~18.5–22 kW |
LRD350C | LC1D50…D65 | 50 – 65 A | ~22–30 kW |
LRD3357C | LC1D50…D80 | 57 – 65 A | ~30 kW |
LRD3359C | LC1D63…D80 | 59 – 70 A | ~30–37 kW |
LRD3361C | LC1D80 | 61 – 80 A | ~37–45 kW |
LRD3363C | LC1D80 | 63 – 80 A (alt. cal.) | ~37–45 kW |
LRD365C | LC1D80…D95 | 65 – 80 A | ~37–45 kW |
LRD4365 | LC1D80…D170 (large frame) | 65 – 80 A (Class 10/20) | Large frame OLR |
LRD4367 | LC1D95…D170 (large frame) | 80 – 100 A (Class 10/20) | Large frame OLR |
⚠️ Critical Selection Rule:
Match OLR frame size to contactor (LRD3xx → LC1D9…D80; LRD4xx → LC1D80…D170). Set OLR dial to motor FLA (Full Load Ampere) — never to contactor rating! For star-delta starters you need 2 OLRs (one per contactor, sized per winding current = FLA/√3). “C” suffix = screw terminals for control circuit; some regions sell w/o “C” (same internally).
